Question:
Recently, we came across a question from Reddit regarding the Fender Classic Player Jaguar Special HH:
“I played a Jaguar HH at Guitar Center this weekend and I really loved it, but I couldn't figure out what the different switches did for the life of me," wrote Reddit user alchemy_index.
Here's the Answer:
While the Classic Player Jaguar HH's non-traditional switching and circuitry can seem daunting, they're easy to figure out.
To clear up any misconceptions, we dove into the Fender files and found the schematics for this model.
Check out the following diagram and corresponding notes:
1: Bridge pickup blendable coil splitter, which allows you to disable one of the coils in the humbucking pickup, in effect making it a single-coil pickup
2: Neck pickup blendable coil splitter, again, allowing you to choose between a single coil and humbucking pickup
3: Master cut switch
4: On/Off switch for the neck pickup
5: On/Off switch for the bridge pickup
6: Normal or low cut switch
7: Master volume knob
8: Master tone knob
